The Henry and Stark County Health Departments are spotlighting World Contraception Day on September 26th. This initiative aims to ensure every pregnancy is wanted and to boost awareness about contraceptive options, particularly among young people. The First Choice Healthcare Clinics in Kewanee, Toulon, and Colona are marking the day by reminding residents that they offer confidential services, including free condoms, STD testing, contraceptive supplies, immunizations, and counseling.

“Though the subjects of Contraception, Condoms and STDs may not be comfortable healthcare issues to discuss; we want people to remember we are a source of confidential education, prevention, testing and treatment.   And we are literally just a phone call away.  People should know we offer the tools and services people need to stay healthy.”

World Contraception Day serves as a reminder of the importance of informed reproductive choices. Working toward a future where every pregnancy is planned, the campaign highlights contraception education for young people. First Choice Healthcare supports this vision by providing accessible healthcare services and accepting Medicaid, insurance, and cash payments. Grant funds may assist those who qualify.
