Highway 150 in Knox County near the Spoon River bridge will be closed for at least 72 hours due to a broken oversized load trailer that broke down on Friday, December 12, 2025. A specialized crane is required to make the necessary repairs.
The Illinois Department of Transportation has provided the following Detour: Use I-74 to re-enter U.S. 150 via the IL 97/U.S. 150 exit east of Knoxville. An additional alternate route is IL 180 to IL 167 to U.S. 34 to U.S. 150/Henderson Street.
The Illinois Department of Transportation said, “We’re closely monitoring the weather and will plow as conditions allow, though efforts may be limited. Public safety remains our top priority, and we’ll work to reopen the road as quickly as possible. Details: http://prez.ly/aR2d.”
