Holiday Tradition Returns to South Chestnut Street and Joins Edgewood Drive with Luminary Delight

SHARE NOW

Tonight, South Chestnut is lighting up the holiday season with an extraordinary display of Christmas cheer. Residents and visitors are encouraged to either drive or stroll through this festive route, which includes spectacular light displays at local parks and along Edgewood Drive. This annual event brings together the community, spreading joy and festive spirits. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience the glow and heartwarming atmosphere of this seasonal celebration right here in our backyard. Whether on foot or by car, it promises to be a delightful outing for everyone. Angie Cernovich has worked hard to bring back the luminary tradition and said the luminaries are possible from donations from the residents and the volunteers who are placing, lighting, and collecting the lumaries.

The lighted parade starts at 5 PM at the old Tenney Bowl parking lot on West McClure Street and will drive from McClure to South Beach Street and deliver Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Windmont Park Shelter House. Following the parade, there will be a fireworks show, and Windmont Park, Northeast Park, South Chestnut Street, and Edgewood Drive will light up the night to begin the Holiday Season.
