Hometown Haven is set to open its doors on Saturday, March 15th, from 8 AM to 1 PM, offering a transformative community space in downtown Annawan. The cozy establishment, located at 303 West Front Street, is a collaborative effort between Kim Goodley and Nichole Mills, that offers unique drinks with community connection. This venture combines historical preservation with contemporary community engagement. Mayor Tim Wise has highlighted the significance of such partnerships in fueling rural economic growth. Nichole Mills, also behind Reap and Sow in Geneseo, Il, emphasizes offering healthy options and nurturing connections. As Annawan welcomes this new addition, Hometown Haven represents a blend of nostalgia and new beginnings.

Kim Goodley said, “There’s something deeply personal about preserving a building that carries stories, memories and a spirit of a different time; I feel Nichole Mills will definitely create those same types of memories for a new generation with the opening of Hometown Haven”.

“This is more than a business venture for me—we strive to provide healthy options and encourage healthy habits. It’s about creating a space where people of all ages can gather, fuel up with healthy drinks, and leave feeling connected and energized to tackle their day” shared Nichole Mills, owner of Hometown Haven.

Kim Goodley purchased 303 West Front Street in Annawan two years ago with a desire to preserve a building she feels has always had potential and she remembers fondly as the old Keim’s store.”
