Ignite the Holiday Spirit at Windmont and Northeast Parks Festive Lighting Events

As the holiday season approaches, Kewanee is gearing up for a festive spectacle! On December 8th, both Windmont and Northeast Park will shine brightly, illuminating the night with their annual Christmas lights. But before the switch is flipped, the community can enjoy the dazzling Lighted Parade. Residents and businesses interested in participating are encouraged to register.

Kewanee is set to host its 18th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 8th. The event, starting at 5:00 PM, will begin at the former Tenney Bowl parking lot. The parade, featuring Santa Claus, will proceed along McClure Street and conclude at Windmont Park with a lighting ceremony. Participants are encouraged to create festive floats. The Kewanee Chamber of Commerce is accepting parade entries until December 6th. Email the form to [email protected] or drop the form off at the office at 113 E. 2nd Street.
