The Illinois High School Association has unveiled the 26 standout students chosen for the 2026 IHSA All-State Academic Team. These honorees, recognized for excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities, will be celebrated at a banquet on April 12th in Bloomington. Each nominee maintained at least a 3.50 GPA, participated in multiple IHSA activities, and demonstrated strong citizenship throughout high school. A committee of principals and directors selected the team, with representation from every IHSA Board of Directors Division and additional at-large members from across Illinois. The program highlights student dedication, discipline, and service statewide.
“The students named to the IHSA All-State Academic Team embody what education-based athletics and activities are all about,” said IHSA Assistant Executive Director Stacy Lambert. “They have challenged themselves in the classroom, committed to their teams and organizations, and found ways to give back to their schools and communities. Excelling at such a high level in all of these areas requires discipline and heart, and we are incredibly proud to recognize them as representatives of the IHSA and the state of Illinois.”
