The Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology’s Office of Supplier Diversity is reaching out to vendors with an educational opportunity on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 10 to 11 AM. A newly announced webinar will guide businesses through the process of preparing Business Enterprise Program utilization plans. The goal is to help vendors enhance their submission quality and ensure they meet all BEP compliance requirements. Interested businesses can find registration details and further information by visiting the department’s official website. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in state contracting, supporting vendors in navigating important program procedures.
“Utilization Plans are more than a form, they’re your blueprint for meaningful participation,” said DoIT Chief of Supplier Diversity Alice Rivera-Alfaro. “The training equips vendors with the clarity they need to get it right the first time.”
Vendors seeking guidance on supplier diversity can join a special online training session led by Reginald Lampkin, the BEP/Veterans Business Program Manager for the Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology. The webinar aims to streamline the BEP approval process, reduce vendor rejections, and build confidence among participants navigating certification. Interested vendors can register through the Illinois Webex platform. Those unable to attend in real time will have access to the session recording after the event. Additional details about future events and resources for businesses are available on the Illinois DoIT news and events website.
