Ten Illinois nonprofits are set to benefit from a $200,000 grant package through the Charitable Trust Stabilization Program. With each organization receiving $20,000, the funds will bolster initiatives related to food accessibility, housing support, and workforce development. Nonprofits in cities including Chicago, Rock Island, Decatur, Wheaton, Aurora, Evanston, and West Frankfort are among the recipients. State officials highlight this funding as essential for helping local organizations continue serving residents facing tough economic times. Grant administrators note the program’s focus on grassroots groups making a direct impact in their communities, aiming to enhance stability and opportunity for those in need.
