The Illinois Department of Public Health has unveiled its latest report on nursing home violations, uncovering 305 incidents in the fourth quarter of 2024. Six facilities were charged with ‘AA’ violations, the most serious category, each facing $50,000 fines. These violations are reserved for situations where a resident’s death is directly linked to facility conditions or occurrences. The findings underscore ongoing concerns about elder care standards.
