Illinois Valley Community College’s agriculture program is growing, thanks to the addition of a new classroom and laboratory facility on the main campus. The program already offers hands-on learning through a 26-acre farm, a fully equipped greenhouse, and indoor labs. Now, the expanded space aims to attract even more students interested in agriculture careers. To introduce these improvements, the college is hosting an open house at its Ag Education Center. Prospective students and community members are invited to explore the new facility and learn about the wide range of opportunities available within the program. An open house is scheduled for April 29, 2025, from 9 to 11 AM, at the Ag Education Center. Pre-register by April 24th at https://www.ivcc.edu/agriculture.

“This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in our agriculture program to see first-hand the opportunities IVCC agriculture has to offer. Campus tours will be available as well as an opportunity to socialize with students who can share their experiences,” said Co-Coordinator Jennifer Timmers.
