Illinois Valley Community College is hosting a dental clinic from January 15th through May 5th, providing affordable oral health care for the public. Dental exams, cleanings, x-rays, and sealants will be performed by students guided by experienced professionals. The initiative aims to make dental care accessible, with some charges completely waived for those with Medicare or Medicaid. All services require an appointment in advance, helping ensure smooth operation and personalized attention. This effort highlights the college’s commitment to community health while offering crucial hands-on training for its students. Slots are expected to fill quickly, so early booking is encouraged.

Cleanings are available for just $30, with exams, x-rays, and sealants provided free of charge. IVCC students and employees can access all services at no cost. While the clinic does not accept insurance, patients who present proof of Medicare or Medicaid qualification will have the $30 fee waived. Although restorative, surgical, and prosthetic procedures aren’t performed onsite, the clinic provides referrals along with diagnostic materials at no extra charge, supporting both patient care and student training in the region.

The Dental Health Center at IVCC is offering morning appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Visits may last as long as two hours, depending on the services needed. To reserve a spot, call 815-224-0227 or email [email protected]. Those hoping to schedule during the college’s winter break, from December 20, 2025, through January 1, 2026, are asked to use email to avoid any delays. This ensures that appointments can be made promptly once the facility reopens.
