Illinois Valley Community College is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 academic year, with nearly $300,000 in awards up for grabs. The application window opened on February 6, 2025, and will close on March 6th, offering students a streamlined process thanks to new software. Scholarships are available across a wide range of disciplines, and over 80 general awards are specifically designed for students still exploring their academic paths. This opportunity aims to ease the financial burden and support the educational journeys of diverse learners. Don’t miss the chance to apply and secure funding for your future!
Foundation Executive Director Tracy Beattie reminds students the application is only open once each year, so it is important to take time to apply now.
Beattie expects the number of applicants to grow this year as rising enrollment brings more students looking to finance their education, and she hopes the simplicity of the new software encourages more applicants. “The IVCC Foundation has invested in new software with the intention of creating a better experience for our students.”
Although not required, students are encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based scholarships. “Not all scholarships are need-based. There are scholarships for every type of student and financial need, and a high GPA is not always required. Do not assume that you will not qualify for anything,” Beattie said.
