ISP and Drug Task Force Enforcement Numbers for 2023

In the fight against crime, the Illinois State Police, in conjunction with local and federal law enforcement agencies, continues to make significant strides. With an unwavering focus on enforcing state drug laws and combating trafficking, the ISP’s Metropolitan Enforcement Groups and Drug Task Forces successfully seized 718 firearms, and 17,812 pounds of drugs in 2023. Furthermore, the enforcement units arrested 1,904 individuals linked to these offenses. In addition, these teams are taking proactive measures towards human trafficking investigations, leading to the arrest of 27 individuals and the rescue of 15 victims last year. Working tirelessly to make Illinois streets safer, ISP forces are committed to the well-being of the community.  The Black Hawk Area Task Force made 47 arrests and seized 33 firearms, and 1,098 pounds of narcotics.
