ISP Arrested Five Illinois Men during Human Trafficking Enforcement Operation

Five Quad City area men were arrested and charged with indecent solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a minor as part of the two-day human trafficking enforcement operation in the Moline area on April 3rd and 4th, 2024.  The operation was conducted by the Illinois State Police Division of the Criminal Investigation Trafficking Enforcement Bureau to identify individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts.  The following five men were arrested during the two-day operation:

Rajeshwar Akku (24) – Moline, IL
Adam C. Curry (43) – Sherrard, IL
Timothy L. Danielson (45) – Geneseo, IL
Andy M. Hershberger (33) – Roseville, IL
Santeeno E. Nickerson (38) – Moline, IL

Rajeshwar Akku, 24, of Moline, had his first appearance on April 4, 2024, at the Rock Island County courthouse.  Rajeshwar Akku is charged with Indecent Solicitation/Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 3 Felony) and Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony).  The State’s petition for pretrial detention was denied, and Akku was released with conditions.  A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for April 23, 2024, at 8:30 AM.

Adam C. Curry, 43, of Sherrard, had his first appearance on April 4, 2024. Adam Curry is charged with Indecent Solicitation/Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 3 Felony) and Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony). The State’s petition for pretrial detention was denied on April 5th, and Curry was released with conditions.  A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for April 23, 2024, at 10:30 AM.

Timothy L. Danielson, 45, of Geneseo, had his first appearance on April 4, 2024. Timothy Danielson is charged with Indecent Solicitation/Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 3 Felony) and Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony). The State’s petition for pretrial detention was denied on April 5th, and Danielson was released with conditions.  A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for April 23, 2024, at 10:30 AM.

Andy M. Hershberger, 33, of Roseville, had his first appearance on April 5, 2024. Andy Hershberger is charged with Indecent Solicitation/Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 3 Felony) and Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony). The State has filed a petition for pretrial detention.  A detention hearing is scheduled for April 8, 2024, at 1:30 PM.

Santeeno E. Nickerson, 38, Moline, had his first appearance on April 5, 2024. Andy Hershberger is charged with Indecent Solicitation/Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 3 Felony) and Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony). The State has filed a petition for pretrial detention.  A detention hearing is scheduled for April 9, 2024, at 1:30 PM.

This operation was part of a multifaceted approach by ISP aimed at stopping human trafficking in Illinois. Participating in the operation with ISP were the Quad Cities MEG, Moline Police Department, Joliet Metro Area Narcotics, Blackhawk Area Task Force, and North Central Narcotics Task Force. The Rock Island County State’s Attorney’s Office also provided support for the operation.
