Illinois Valley Community College has unveiled a new mural to mark its 100th anniversary. Created by artist Ray Paseka and assistants, the artwork chronicles the college’s evolution from LPO Junior College to its current state. The mural, funded by the IVCC Foundation, will be dedicated at a public ceremony on June 25, 2024, at 11 AM at the college’s Peter Miller Community Technology Center.
“This mural is a beautiful commemoration of our past, present and future and will grace the entrance to our original buildings when entering through the Peter Miller Community Technology Center. This will be a focal point for generations to come,” said College President Dr. Tracy Morris.
