IVCC Youth Volleyball and Basketball Clinics this Summer

Young athletes across the Illinois Valley can sharpen their skills this summer at Illinois Valley Community College. IVCC is offering volleyball and basketball clinics in the college gym, led by Eagles coaches and players.

A two-day volleyball clinic runs June 29th and 30th for students in second grade through high school. Head coach Kate Vigars and her team will lead sessions on passing, setting, skills, and game strategy. Grades two through four meet from 8 to 10 AM; grades five through seven from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM; and junior high and high school students from 1:30 to 3 PM.

A four-day basketball clinic follows, from July 27th through 30th, for grades two through eight, led by Head Coach Chris Herman, focusing on shooting, ball handling, passing, team plays, and defense. Younger players in grades two through four will meet each day from 9 to 10:30 AM. Students in grades five through eight will take the court from 10:30 AM to noon.
