Illinois Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Center is launching a Private Pilot Ground Training course, running Tuesdays from February 3rd to April 28th, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Oglesby campus. Taught by Joseph Nimee, this 12-session class covers essential topics like flight controls, aircraft performance, weather meteorology, and federal aviation regulations. Students will also participate in a flight simulator session and a tour of Illinois Valley Regional Airport on February 28. The course prepares participants for the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Exam.
