A unique blend of fun and charity comes to Avenues at Royal Oak this Friday as Avenues hosts its annual “Jail & Bail” fundraiser. Starting at 9 AM, 15 local volunteers will be “arrested” by Kewanee Police, with their freedom hinging on donations made through “collect calls.” Every contribution helps the Resident Holiday Fund, ensuring festive celebrations for those at Avenues. In addition, organizers urge guests to bring non-perishable food items for the Kewanee food pantry. The fundraiser runs until 4:30 in the afternoon, offering participants a lighthearted way to support both residents and the broader community during the holiday season.
