The search is on for the next Miss North Central Illinois, with contestants now being recruited for this year’s pageant. The competition is open to teens ages 14 to 18 and young women ages 19 to 28, serving as a preliminary to Miss Illinois. The event will take place on Saturday, November 8th, at the Kewanee Armory. Winners will receive scholarship awards, including $1,200 in the Miss Division, $1,000 to Black Hawk East Community College (must prove residency to area), $200 from Cerno’s Bar and Grill, and $200 for the Teen Division.
