Young anglers will have the chance to reel in both fun and prizes at this year’s 2nd Annual Fishing Derby, hosted by State Senator Neil Anderson and Representative Norine Hammond. Taking place at Goose Ranch in Canton on Saturday, June 14th, from 9 to 11:30 AM, the event features a special water and boat safety presentation by the Illinois Conservation Police. The first 50 children arriving will receive a complimentary rod and reel set, thanks to Wildlife Forever. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish, most fish caught, and sportsmanship, making the event a highlight for local families. Goose Ranch is located at 25369 Goose Ranch Road in Canton.
