The Gordon Vickrey Memorial Food Drive is currently being held in Kewanee to support local food banks. Running from November 18th to December 19th, the Kewanee School District drive seeks non-perishable food items and canned goods. It features a friendly competition among schools, with the winning class receiving a pizza party. Sponsored by the Key Club, the initiative aims to feed the hungry in the community during the holiday season. From December 2nd to 19th, the Wethersfield and Visitation School Districts are collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items. The Classroom from each building with the most items will win a pizza party sponsored by Key Club.
