Kalleigh Gale and Devon Horrie Named Kewanee Elks October 2025 Teens of the Month

The Kewanee Elks #724 has named Kalleigh Gale and Devon Horrie as October’s Teens of the Month. Kalleigh, a Kewanee High School senior, holds a perfect 4.0 GPA and leads her class. Her impressive list of achievements spans academics, athletics, and leadership, including FFA President and All-State Softball honors. Devon, a senior at Wethersfield High, ranks fifth in his class with a 3.97 GPA, excelling in sports, Key Club, and student leadership. Both students dedicate time to community service through FFA and Key Club events, making a positive impact on their schools and the greater Kewanee area.

Kalleigh Gale, daughter of Kraig and Dawn Gale, stands out at Kewanee High School as the top-ranked senior among 139 students, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her impressive record includes four years on the High Honor Roll and significant roles in softball, cheerleading, student council, and FFA. She’s been a co-captain and an all-state athlete in softball and cheerleading, as well as class president, vice president, and treasurer in various organizations. Kalleigh’s dedication extends beyond academics and athletics, with active community service and multiple FFA honors, highlighting her leadership and commitment across all areas of student life.

Devon Horrie, a senior at Wethersfield High School and son of Landon & Melissa Horrie, is celebrating a remarkable academic and extracurricular journey. Ranked fifth in his class with a near-perfect GPA of 3.974, Devon’s dedication shines beyond the classroom. He’s earned high honors for four years while actively participating in football, baseball, track, Key Club, FFA, and student leadership roles. Notably, Devon is a co-offensive MVP in football, a National Honor Society member, and has served as both vice-president and representative on the student council. His contributions extend to community service, including event volunteering, tree planting, and school improvement projects, demonstrating true leadership and commitment.
