The Kewanee Area United Way (KAUW) is moving forward with its annual shoe drive for local students. Deliveries have already reached Fairview, Headstart, and Wethersfield schools, and the team expects to have all shoes in by September 12th. Galva will receive shoes the week of September 8th, and Neponset students can expect theirs around September 15th. Families from Lyle, Irving, Central, and Belle Alexander should note that shoes will be available for pickup at the Salvation Army Store on Saturday, September 13th, from 10 AM to noon. Any unclaimed shoes will be delivered directly to each child’s school. Organizers thank the community for their support.
