The Kewanee Boilermakers ran off with the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over the Macomb Bombers on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Kewanee batting in the bottom of the sixth when Devin Hamrick’s sac fly scored one run for Kewanee.

Kewanee opened up scoring in the first inning, when Jackson Hawkins doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Clark Heeren earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Kewanee. The righthander allowed one hit and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Langdon Lambert took the loss for Macomb. The righty surrendered four runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out five.

Cruz Paredes started the game for Kewanee. The righty lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Hamrick went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Kewanee in hits.

Macomb racked up nine hits on the day. Jack Duncan and Stephen Stufflebeam all managed multiple hits for Macomb.
