The Kewanee Boilermakers varsity bounced back from Saturday’s setback, securing a convincing 59-40 victory over the West Carroll Thunder on Monday. This win served as redemption after their previous 36-30 loss to the Thunder. Leading the charge, Chris Crowe put up 19 points, backed by Dayvon Robinson with 16 and Logan Peed adding 11. The triumph boosts Kewanee’s record to 9-5, while West Carroll now stands at 7-5 following its third consecutive road loss.
Kewanee’s boys basketball team avenged its earlier loss to Forreston with a hard-fought 60-56 victory on Tuesday night. The Boilermakers rallied to secure their second consecutive win, improving to 10-5 on the season. Forreston, now at 5-7, couldn’t quite hold off Kewanee’s late surge. Looking ahead, the Boilermakers face Princeton on the road next Tuesday, January 6th, at 7 PM, aiming to extend their winning streak.
