Kewanee Boys Basketball Defeats Geneseo in Geneseo Tournament Play

The Kewanee Boys Basketball team picked up a win over Geneseo during the Geneseo Holiday Basketball Tournament last Tuesday. The final score was 59 to 27. Blaise Lewis led the way with 16 points for Kewanee in the winning effort. Brady Clark added 12 points and defensively, the Boilermakers held Geneseo to just 6 points in the fourth quarter, part of a dominant victory for Kewanee. Kewanee looked equally dominant the following morning as they picked up their second tournament win, defeating Erie-Prophetstown 62 to 33. Brady Clark was the hero of the Wednesday morning game, leading Kewanee with 22 points. Kewanee defense was strong again as they held E-P to only 7 points in the fourth quarter.

Kewanee would go on to lose to Rock Falls in the tournament final, finishing the tournament at 2 and 2.
