Kewanee’s boys varsity basketball team saw their three-game winning streak snapped with a 67-54 loss to Fieldcrest on Wednesday in Colmone Classic pool play. Chris Crowe led the Boilermakers with 20 points, while Jesus Martinez and Leeam Slover contributed nine each. This result leaves Kewanee with a 1-1 record in pool play and a 4-2 mark on the season. Fieldcrest, now 4-0, stays unbeaten. The Boilermakers will regroup and look to bounce back against Rock Falls, with tipoff set for Friday. This matchup will determine their path forward in the Colmone Classic tournament.
