    WHERE
    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Kewanee Boys Cross Country Finished Second Place at Princeton on September 10th

Kewanee Cross County results from September 10th from Coach King…

Kewanee cross country ran in Princeton on Tuesday afternoon against Princeton and Fieldcrest. For the Boilermaker girls Alejandra Martinez finished  in 4th place with a time of 24:49, Esmeralda Martinez was right behind her in 5th at 25:00, and Tiffany Helton finished 13th with a time of 34:17. For the boys Jason Rusk was the first Boiler finisher in 3rd with time of 19:32 followed by Hunter Vancil at 19:40. Kewanee’s three freshman boys finished their first race with Jordan Housley in 8th at 22:53, Jermain McKnight in 12th at 26:30, and Adam Keyser in 13th at 26:40. The 5 boys finished 2nd to Princeton in team scoring. Kewanee will be back in Princeton on Saturday morning for the Princeton Invitational.
