Kewanee is gearing up for its 19th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, set for December 7th at 5 PM. The event promises an array of creatively decorated floats winding through the streets from D’Luxe Auto Wash to Windmont Park. This year, the celebration is paired with the anticipated Lighting of Windmont Park, a highlight for families and visitors alike. Santa Claus himself will greet the crowd, adding extra cheer to the festivities. Local groups, businesses, schools, and organizations are encouraged to join the parade with their own themed entries. Organizers request no float use Santa and Mrs. Claus as the theme, so as not to confuse the kiddos. Community participation and dazzling lights make this event a beloved holiday tradition in Kewanee. Registration ends on Friday, December 5th. Parade participants should be in place by 4:30 PM.
