Kewanee Boilmaker Cross Country team competed in the Limestone Rocket Run on August 31st in Alpha Park, Illinois. Nolie Charlet got 7th place with a time of 22:31. Esmeralda Martinez finished 21st at 25:10, and Alejandra Martinez finished 24th at 25:45. For the boys’ side, Jason Rusk finished 20th at 19:19, Hunter Vancil was 29th at 20:05, and Mitchal Thorp finished 52nd at 22:17.
On Thursday, Kewanee hosted a triangular meet with Monmouth (United) and St Bede, Kewanee got 1st and 2nd place in the boys and girls races. Nolie Charlet won with a time of 25:07, followed by Alejandra Martinez at 28:01. For the boys, Jason Rusk won with a time of 20:45, followed by Hunter Vancil at 21:24. Mitchal Thorp placed 5th with a time of 23:35. Kewanee competes at Rockridge on September 5th.
