Kewanee Elks #724 proudly announce Katelyn Attig and Camron O’Brien as the February 2025 Teens of the Month.

Annawan High School senior Katelyn Attig is making waves with an outstanding GPA of 4.9963 on a 5.0 scale, ranking fifth in her class of 26. Katelyn is the daughter of Joshua & Amanda Attig. Katelyn’s impressive array of achievements includes a four-year run on the High Honor Roll and recognition in academic golf. An active participant in band, drama, and golf, she is also a leader in numerous clubs such as FCA, FFA, and Student Council. Katelyn’s dedication extends beyond academics, involving herself in community service initiatives like the Cloverbud Academy and FCA Christmas Store, showcasing her commitment to both personal growth and community development.

High school senior Camron O’Brien is making waves at Galva High School with his impressive track record. Camron is the son of Sean O’Brien and Shelli Halsall. Ranked 9th in his class with a 3.66 GPA, Camron’s academic and extracurricular achievements are commendable. He has consistently excelled in activities ranging from football to band and from FFA to trap shooting. Not just an athlete and musician, Camron has also shown academic prowess, participating in the Scholastic Team and earning All-Conference Academic honors in both football and baseball. Additionally, he has held numerous leadership roles, including Class President and Student Council historian. Camron is also an active community volunteer, contributing to events like flag-raising with the Sons of American Legion.
