The Kewanee Elks #724 has recognized Katlyn Carton and Jack Anderson as September’s Teens of the Month. Katlyn, a senior at Kewanee High School, holds a top class rank and a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her achievements span high honors in academics, leadership roles in FFA, and outstanding participation in cheerleading, volleyball, and band. Jack, also a senior, boasts a near-perfect GPA and is ranked fourth in his class. His dedication shines through varsity sports, band, FFA leadership, and community service with the Galva Historical Society and multiple local organizations. Both students exemplify leadership and commitment in academics and service.

Katlyn Carton, a senior at Kewanee High School, stands out for her remarkable academic and extracurricular achievements. Holding the top rank in her class of 139 and maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, Katlyn’s high school career is marked by consistent recognition on the high honor roll, leadership roles in the FFA, and notable involvement in cheerleading, volleyball, and band. She’s earned numerous awards, including All-Conference Academic honors and seven Division 1 solo and ensemble music accolades. Dedicated to service, Katlyn has actively volunteered with Key Club, Sol’s Legacy Ministry, and St. Jude, making a significant impact both inside and outside the classroom.

Jack Anderson, a senior at Kewanee High School, is making impressive strides both in and out of the classroom. Currently ranked fourth in his class of 139 with a GPA of 3.974, Jack’s dedication shines through his four-year streak on the High Honor Roll. He’s played an active role in golf, band ensembles, and Key Club, while also earning leadership positions as golf co-captain and FFA co-chair. Jack’s commitment extends to his community, where he volunteers with the Galva Historical Society, the church praise team, and participates in FFA service initiatives. His well-rounded achievements mark him as a standout among his peers.
