The Kewanee FFA Horse Judging Team has made waves at the Illinois FFA State Horse Evaluation Career Development Event, securing an impressive 4th place overall in the Reasons Division. Mikayla Ouart stood out with a 6th-place finish and a SUPERIOR rating, showcasing exceptional skill and dedication.
The event, held at Black Hawk College East Campus, drew over 300 FFA members who competed in both Reasons and Non-Reasons Divisions. Teams evaluated six horse classes and presented oral reasons to contest officials, a process that hones leadership and technical expertise.
Congratulations to the entire team, including Kashen Ellerbrock, Joey Janey, Isabella Guzman, Paige Polowy, Cheyenne Orwig, and Evelyn Favela, who earned a BLUE rating. Their achievements highlight the importance of such events in shaping future agricultural leaders. Well done, Kewanee FFA!
