The Kewanee Boilermakers fought hard to a 1 point win over a tough Orion Chargers squad at the Cliff Warkins Memorial Basketball Classic in Erie. The final score: Kewanee 75 Orion 74, earning Kewanee its 8th win of the season. Brady Clark hit his season high again with 27 points and he had plenty of back up in the scoring department as Kashen Ellerbrock scored a season high 13 while Cottrelle Reed and Blaise Lewis pitched in with 11 points each. With the win, the Boilermakers advance to the semifinals of the Warkins classic. They will play that semifinal game tonight at 7:30 PM in Erie and the game will be live on WKEI RegionalMediaNews.com as the Boilers battle Mercer County. The winner of tonight’s game will play on Saturday night at 7:30 PM against either Beecher or Riverdale.
