The fire of an unoccupied mobile home in Kewanee was intentionally set on fire
The Kewanee Fire Department responded early Thursday morning to a vacant mobile home on Coal Street near Lake Street following reports of a structure fire. Crews arrived shortly after 6 AM to find heavy smoke and flames, initiating a fast and aggressive attack to contain the blaze. Their efforts successfully prevented the fire from spreading to nearby properties. While the mobile home has been declared a total loss, no injuries have been reported, as the building was unoccupied. A preliminary investigation reveals the fire was set intentionally, though the exact cause remains unknown. Anyone with information is urged to call Kewanee Police at (309) 853-1911.
The Kewanee Police Department, Community Fire Protection District, and Stark County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
