An agriculture educator for grades 9 through 12, Callahan is renowned for her innovative teaching methods, including the unique “Piggy Party Project,” which allows students to gain real-world experience in animal husbandry. Her dedication has significantly enhanced the school’s agriculture program, earning it top ranks across Illinois. In Chicago today, the Golden Apple Foundation unveiled the 2025 finalists for the esteemed Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching.
