Kewanee High School Key Club Pickleball Tournament
Kewanee pickleball players have a new place to compete this summer. Kewanee School District 229 has built six new tennis courts at Kewanee High School, which are also lined for pickleball. The new location will be ready in time for a tournament scheduled for July 12th. The first match is set for 2 PM. Teams can enter for $20, with both adult and student brackets available. Organizers say proceeds will help fund the Key Club’s yearly service projects, supporting student-led efforts that give back to the community. Space is limited, so players are encouraged to register early. Organizers are thanking school administration for allowing the event to use the new courts, while also recognizing the district’s efforts to provide students with strong opportunities and updated spaces to learn and grow.
The tournament will feature two divisions: an adult bracket for players 19 and older and a student bracket for those 18 and under. Tournament registration is available now through the posted “Google Forms link.”
