Kewanee High School kicked off the new academic year with its traditional ice cream social on August 16, 2024. This event, initiated by former principal Mr. Kirkham in 2003, featured beach-themed music and a variety of ice cream flavors, creating an inviting atmosphere for returning students. Faculty members were also actively involved, greeting students with enthusiasm, which infused the event with a sense of community and excitement for the year ahead. The ice cream social at Kewanee High has grown to become a cherished tradition, eagerly anticipated by both students and staff alike.
