Residents in Kewanee are advised that the Life Skills Re-Entry Center will be flushing fire hydrants this Thursday and Friday, November 6th and 7th. This maintenance work is expected to cause rusty or discolored water, particularly affecting the east side of town. Officials recommend running cold water taps until the water clears, which will help prevent sediments from entering water heaters. The city assures there is no need for a boil order during this process. Residents can expect normal water service to resume soon after the hydrant flushing is completed.
