Downtown Kewanee will be lit up with the new Holiday Decorations approved by the Kewanee City Council in September tonight. The City opted to pay for the “White Glove Service” from the Company they purchased the new decorations from. They are installing the new Holiday Decorations today, December 1, 2023. The Kewanee Chamber of Commerce posted a picture of volunteers putting the old decorations in parts of Kewanee in November. The volunteers were committed to the holiday spirit by wearing a Santa and a Grinch suit. The purchase includes 85 total new decorations for poles in the downtown area to replace the current decorations from the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce.
