The Kewanee Kiwanis provide service to the community and support to numerous agencies. The Kewanee Kiwanis presented checks to multiple agencies at its Wednesday meeting, and Kiwanis members stained picnic tables at Windmont Park.
Checks were presented to: Kewanee Food Pantry, Sunshine Tutoring, Junior Achievement, and support to the Kewanee and Wethersfield Key Club students to attend a Leadership Training Retreat were the recipients of our fundraising dollars. Jason Bates with the Galva Levit Amp Concert Music Series was the guest speaker. On Wednesday evening, Kiwanis members stained picnic tables in the Kiwanis Pavilion.
Kiwanian Gary Montooth also volunteers at the Kewanee Food Pantry weekly. President Andy Dwyer presented Gary with our annual support.
Etta LaFlora’s patience and kindness have provided after-school tutoring for many children. Sunshine Tutoring serves the children of our community!
Our members understand service. Kiwanian Dave Harker also serves children through Junior Achievement. Our financial support and service hours of our members are making a difference with JA!
President Andy shares our love for the Kewanee and Wethersfield Key Clubs. Several members from each club will attend a Leadership Training Retreat (LTR) in October. The club has covered the cost for them to attend. Building leaders is what we do!!

The Windmont Park in Kewanee was hit hard last month by the tornado. A lot of hard work has been put in to bring her back to her full beauty. So, we provided a little love to the Kiwanis Pavilion and its picnic tables.
Jason Bates provided the program for today’s meeting. The Levit Amo series held in Galva has grown with a stellar reputation. We invite you to Sunday evenings from June – August each year in Galva. You will not be disappointed by this free entertainment.
