Residents are invited to cruise or stroll along Edgewood Drive, where glowing displays will brighten the neighborhood. South Chestnut will feature an enchanting scene, decorated with luminaries stretching from Central Boulevard to Division Street. Windmont Park and Northeast Park will also showcase impressive lighting installations for all to enjoy. The night of Christmas enchantment begins at Wethersfield School with the Holly Jolly Christmas, followed by the lighted parade at 5 PM, and a fireworks display to kick off the Windmont and Northeast Parks lightings. Organizers encourage families and friends to share in the festive atmosphere, promising an evening of sparkling sights and community cheer. The event marks a highlight of the season, drawing locals together to celebrate.
Wethersfield High School is set to host the Holly Jolly Festival on December 7th, transforming the Blish Parking Lot into a festive scene from 2 to 4 PM. Families can expect activities ranging from cookie decorating and games to a bounce house and train rides. The lineup also features craft tables, face painting, and hair tinsel booths, ensuring fun for everyone. Santa Claus will greet guests, joined by his live reindeer. Admission stands at $5 for adults. After the festivities, the celebration continues with a lighted parade leading to Windmont Park for the official park lighting.
