What started as a conversation to do some good turned into giving away some trees. The Kewanee Park District, in collaboration with the City of Kewanee, is set to enhance local greenery through the Trees Forever Grant program. Eligible residents can enter a drawing to receive a free 8-10 foot tree for their property. The initiative targets disadvantaged areas in Kewanee, with planting assistance available. Applicants must comply with specific planting guidelines. The drawing will occur on October 25th.
