Kewanee Police Investigation Concludes No Foul Play for Unresponsive Man Found on Tenney Street Saturday

In Kewanee, a recent investigation by local authorities into an incident involving an unconscious man found with suspected head trauma has concluded. The event occurred on November 23, 2024, around 7 PM, when two employees discovered the man in a parking lot in the 400 block of Tenney Street. Initially treated at St. Luke Hospital, he was later transferred to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. The Kewanee Police Department conducted interviews and reviewed nearby surveillance camera footage as part of the investigation. On November 27th, after regaining consciousness, the man provided crucial information indicating that his injuries were due to a medical emergency.

According to the release, “Following this interview and a thorough review of evidence, it was determined that the individual had suffered a medical emergency, which led to the incident. No foul play is suspected.” “The Kewanee Police Department appreciates the cooperation of local businesses and community members in assisting with the investigation.”
