The Kewanee Police Department will lead the procession for Sergeant James Mock from Rux Funeral Home in Galva to Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in rural Kewanee on Saturday morning following the funeral. Calling hours for Sergeant Mock are tonight, June 7th, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. The funeral for Sergeant Mock is at 10 AM on Saturday, June 8th, at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Detective Sergeant James “Jimmy” Mock passed away early Sunday morning, at the age of 35. The Kewanee Police Department and Stark County Class of 2007 have started a GoFundMe to support James Mock’s 7-year-old son Brendan. Donate to GoFundMe here.
The Kewanee Police Department has released parking information for the funeral on Saturday and the burial at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is located at 313 Market Street, and Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery is located south of Kewanee on US Highway 34.

The Kewanee Police Department will lead the procession to Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, followed by the funeral home vehicles, family, and friends of Det. Sgt. Mock. Visiting first responder agencies will follow behind family and friends. The procession route will depart Rux Funeral Home in Galva and drive south on SW 1st Avenue, then turn west on US Highway 34, and continue to the cemetery. At the cemetery, funeral vehicles and family will stop at the burial location and allow other vehicles to pass them until they are stopped. Overflow parking is also available.
