The Midland Golf Club hosted a spectacular 1920s-themed gala to mark 35 years of unwavering support for the Kewanee Community Unit School District. The event seeks to raise $25,000, earmarked for a new Outdoor Fitness Court at Kewanee High School, alongside boosting the Foundation’s Unrestricted Fund. Attendees watched the unveiling of a unique mural by local artist Sue Blake, destined to adorn the wall of the new fitness court. Sue Black not only donated a $5,000 arts scholarship, but she also donated the signed painting to the live auction. Sue Blake’s painting sold for $2,000. The Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors donated a combined total of $21,500.
Online registration and donations may also be made on the foundation’s website at www.kewaneeschoolsfoundation.org.
