Kewanee Senior Stardeja Jordan Shines with 8th Place Shot Put Finish at State Finals

Stardeja Jordan, a senior from Kewanee High School, closed out her high school track and field career with a remarkable State Finals appearance in Charleston. Competing in the shot put, Stardeja advanced to Saturday’s finals after securing 12th place on her final throw Friday. Showing nerves of steel, she once again saved her best for last, tossing 11.16 meters on her final attempt, setting a season personal record and finishing 8th in the state, earning herself a medal. Also representing KHS were Danielle Currier and Jendayia Crowe, who both delivered strong efforts but did not advance.
