Businesses in Kewanee are banding together this weekend for a three-day Small Business Crawl, urging residents to support local shops from Friday to Sunday, December 5th through 7th. Sponsored by Farmers Insurance, the event invites shoppers to visit participating businesses and get a punch on special cards. Completed cards will enter participants into a drawing for prizes. Highlights include local favorites like Coco’s Coffee Shop, Empire Bookshop, and Good’s Furniture. Organizers emphasize that shopping local not only offers unique gifts and experiences but also strengthens Kewanee’s economy and preserves the town’s distinctive charm.
Get out this weekend and visit Prairie Chicken Haus, Good’s Furniture, Breedlove’s Sporting Goods, Country Morning Coffee, Jessie’s Closet, Blooms by Heartfelt, Johnson’s Hub, Blissful Branch, Empire Bookshop, and Coco’s Coffee. HRD Tack Shop will set up in a trailer in Good’s parking lot.
