Kewanee Woman Lost Everything in Easter Day Fire

A Kewanee woman is trying to rebuild her life after an Easter Day fire destroyed her house and belongings.  Devan Morris was home when a fire broke out in the kitchen of her house.  Devan was able to safely escape the fire but she didn’t have time to grab anything, including shoes.  The fire department was able to salvage a few items for Morris, including her car keys.  Family and friends are fundraising to help Devan recover her losses and replace necessities.  The fire is believed to have started from an air fryer.  Devan posted on her Facebook page that the air fryer believed to have started the fire was recalled, due to potential burn hazards.

Devan Morris said, “I’m just thankful for what anybody has done I would not know what to do without everyone’s help and support I have been lost this last week.”

If you would like to help Devan Morris, you can donate to the GoFundMe here or attend a benefit on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 3 PM. /https://facebook.com/events/s/devan-norris-fundraiser-event/2419720361546195/
