If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

Kewanee’s July 24th Concert in the Park Cancelled Due to Extreme Temperatures

Thursday’s Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concert in the Park has been cancelled. Organizers say the decision comes in response to extreme heat index temperatures, the likelihood of afternoon thunderstorms, and challenges with relocating the event to an alternate venue. The Chamber hopes to reschedule the concert for a future date, but no new time has been announced. Officials urge the public to stay alert for updates and to take safety precautions during the hot weather. More information about the rescheduled performance will be shared as soon as possible by the Chamber. Stay tuned for further developments regarding this popular community event.
